The EEPROM comes with 8 different kernals and uses an RGB LED to allow you to see which kernal image you want to change to.
 
  - Includes the EEPROM, 24 pins turned socket, upgraded capacitor for the restore key and the necessary wiring harness.
 
  - Instructions on how to fit the EEPROM and use the switch-less changer are included.
 
  - This is a very simple install with just three wires which need to be connected, it's also recommended changing the kernal EPROM socket
 
This is a replacement for the 901227 U4 2364 ROM which holds the  Kernal Image.
 
Compatible with the c64 breadboard style c64's and the SX-64.
** This is not compatible with the C64C as it uses a 16k ROM)

This replacement IC uses high-quality round gold-plated pins and Winbond 27C5122  EEPROM and uses a 2 mm pin header harness.
 
The EEPROM can also be reprogrammed, a PLCC32 TO DIP32 adapter should be used.
 
Basic electronic tools are needed to fit this unit, these are not included.
Multimeter for continuity testing, Temperature controlled soldering iron, 40/60 leaded solder or equivalent.
