How It Works
Hardware: It uses an ESP8266 or similar microcontroller-based Wi-Fi module to translate serial communication into standard Hayes-compatible modem AT commands.
Connection: It plugs directly into the C64 user port, drawing power and exchanging data without needing native TCP/IP stack support on the vintage computer itself.
Software: You typically use a terminal program like CCGMS (version 6 or later) loaded via an SD card reader (such as an SD2IEC) or cartridge to configure your Wi-Fi SSID, enter your password, and dial into BBS boards.
