Super Space Invaders is an enhanced home computer conversion of Taito's classic arcade game, developed by The Kremlin and published by Demark in 1991 for the Commodore Amiga (alongside other systems).

While retaining the core premise of blasting rows of descending extra-terrestrials before they reach the bottom of the screen, this version breathes new life into the retro formula by introducing:

  • Upgraded Presentation: Colourful background graphics, detailed alien sprites, and a crisp Amiga soundscape featuring classic invader audio cues.

  • New Mechanics: A variety of tactical power-ups (such as laser waves, time stops, and firestorms) alongside end-of-level boss encounters.

  • Bonus Rounds: Quirky minigames that require players to protect farm cows from being "bovine-napped" by tractor-beam-wielding UFOs.

  • Simultaneous Multiplayer: A cooperative two-player mode not found in the original coin-op machine.

It offers a fun, nostalgic, and slightly modernized twist on the grandfathers of the shoot 'em up genre.
