Published in 1991 by Arcade Master, Cool Croc Twins is a quirky, single-screen platformer that tasks players with controlling one of two sunglasses-wearing crocodiles, Funk or Punk, on a quest to rescue their girlfriend. The gameplay revolves around a unique "light-up" mechanic where you must jump and headbutt overhead tiles three times to fully activate them, all while navigating increasingly vertical levels and dodging eccentric enemies.
While the premise is simple and the visuals lean into a bright, neon-infused 90s aesthetic, the difficulty spikes quickly, demanding precise platforming and rhythmic timing. It stands as a charming, if slightly obscure, example of the era's obsession with "cool" animal mascots and arcade-style point chasing.
