Steg the Slug (Codemasters, 1992) The Ultimate Gastropod Puzzle-Platformer!

Meet Steg: he’s a slug on a mission, and fatherhood isn’t easy. His fiercely hungry offspring, the "T’yungunz," are waiting in their nest at the top of the cavern, and it’s up to you to keep them fed before time runs out!

Steg the Slug breaks the traditional platforming mould with an ingenious mix of physics-based puzzling and exploration. Navigate subterranean caverns by sliding along floors, scaling vertical walls, and defying gravity by crawling across the ceiling. To feed your family, you’ll need to master the art of bubble-blowing: trap roaming maggots in slime bubbles, then deftly nudge, blow, or guide them past deadly spikes, fires, and bellows toward the nest.

  • Unique Gravity-Defying Gameplay: Slither up walls and across ceilings to navigate complex, multi-directional cavern layouts.

  • Brain-Teasing Physics Puzzles: Carefully manage your breath meter to trap grubs in bubbles and navigate them safely through hazard-filled environments.

  • Space-Age Slug Tech: Outfit Steg with wild upgrades from the Acme Bionic Bitz Catalogue, including robotic legs for jumping and a high-powered jetpack!

  • Classic 16-Bit Charm: Packed with the signature colourful, cartoony visual style and upbeat audio that made Codemasters a household name on the Commodore Amiga.

Do you have the slimy stamina to keep your T’yungunz fed, or will your bubble burst?
