Gorf (Galactic Orbiting Robot Force) is a retro-style fixed shooter ported to the Commodore Amiga based on Midway's 1981 arcade classic.

Tasked with defending Earth from an iron-fisted robot empire, players pilot a starship across distinct missions, each offering a completely different gameplay style.

  • Missions: The game cycles through varied stages including defending against descending alien formations (similar to Space Invaders and Galaxian), navigating a pseudo-3D hyperspace warp tunnel, and a final boss showdown against a heavily shielded Flag Ship.

  • Mechanics: Unlike typical static shooters of its era, Gorf allows smooth multi-directional movement and a "quark laser" mechanic where firing a new shot instantly clears the previous one.

Clearing all missions loops the game at a higher difficulty, advancing the player through military ranks from Space Cadet up to Space Avenger.
