Active Adaptor Cable XA1541 Commodore 64/128/1541 PC <> Cbm Data Transfer

 

This is a XA1541 adapter, it will connect Commodore machines or drives to a PC's parallel port. You can transfer programs or games from floppy to and from a PC and also use your C64 1541 drive with the VICE emulator. The adapter includes the recommended BSV52 SMD transistors.``

This is the most compatible data-transfer adapter available. You can use it on Windows XP / 2000 / Vista / 7, Linux, and MS-DOS with newer and older PC's.

 

Hardware requirements:

· A PC or Laptop with a parallel port.

· Commodore 64 or 128 computer

· Commodore 1541, 1570, 1571 or 1581 drive.

· Commodore compatible serial cable.

The adapter has been tested in-house with Star Commander in MS-DOS and CBMXfer (a GUI for cbm4win / OpenCBM) in Windows XP. Includes a guide to install cbm4win and CBMXfer. You can also use QTCBM, another GUI.


Important! Do not plug or unplug cables while your equipment is switched on.
