Amiga Game Construction Studio is an all-in-one development environment for the Commodore Amiga originally released in early 2000. It was marketed as a compilation disc to users who wanted to create great-looking games without diving into the complexities of Assembly or C programming. It bridged the gap between basic "click-and-play" creators and full-blown programming languages.

Key Features

  • No Coding Required: The software utilises a visual, menu-driven interface to handle game logic, player movement, and collision detection.
  • Multi-Genre Support: While many kits were locked to one genre (like shooters or RPGs), this collection of applications allow the user to create platformers, top-down racers, and adventure games.
  • Map/Level Editor: A tile-based system for building expansive game worlds.
  • Sound Manager: For importing and assigning 8-bit Amiga IFF sound effects and MOD files.
  • Standalone Exports on many of the applications
