The game is a vertically scrolling shooter played as Apollo, who is mounted upon the back of his winged horse Pegasus.
 
The gameplay is based around a series of vertically scrolling levels, which are split up into sections and contain enemies and bosses that must be dealt with in order to progress. Additionally, players can charge up their shots in order to deal more damage to foes.
